The Inkwell is a unique luxury stay located in heart of historic Port Adelaide, South Australia. As a former office for Dulux Australia back in the early 1900’s, The Inkwell has been transformed into a warm and welcoming stay with nods to the building's history and Port Adelaide woven throughout. 

 

Spacious open plan loft living sprawling across two levels, with original architectural details and an interior that carefully considers a balance of old and new. The Inkwell provides a unique and luxurious experience for our guests, offering cosy indulgent linens, bespoke hair and body care products, and a pantry stocked with local artisan basics. An escape that’s been perfectly curated for one or two, whether you are visiting for a getaway or a business trip, you’ll be warmly welcomed.​

 

Our location in the heritage precinct is the perfect place to explore Port Adelaide’s historic Streets, its rich maritime history and a collective of museums.  Port Adelaide has an up-and-coming food scene with excellent dining options all within walking distance from the double doors.  Crossing the Port River you’ll find some of Adelaide's best beaches Semaphore Beach and Largs Bay Beach, both within an easy five minute drive.  If you’d like to travel a little further, we are on the outskirts of Adelaide’s CBD if you decide to venture into the city. South Australia's famous wine regions of the Barossa, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills are all under an hour from The Inkwell.​
